What are Virtual Assistants?

Virtual Assistants (VAs) are independent contractors who provide administrative, creative and technical services to multiple clients. As a self-employed professional, I work from my home office using my own equipment. Working together with you virtually is a time- and money-saving way of doing business.

How would using a Virtual Assistant instead of a temp, part-time or full-time employee benefit my business as a business professional?

When you hire a Virtual Assistant, you pay only for the time and administrative services you need. A VA handles your business remotely from his or her own home office. There are no overhead costs, taxes, paid benefits, training or downtime like there would be if you hired a full-time employee. Think about it, every time you hire a temp, he/she is usually someone new to you and your business who will need time and money spent on them for training. This time and money of yours can be saved by hiring your own VA.

What might my Virtual Assistant do for me?

A Virtual Assistant can do everything other than those tasks which must be done by someone in your office (i.e. paper filing, fetching coffee). Secretarial, administrative assistance, personal assistance or office management can be done virtually as your administrative assistant. A Virtual Assistant is your internet assistant, business assistant, research assistant and virtual administrator, and includes other services.

Do you have a team that supports you? If so, how do they support you?

As the owner of Rockin’ Robin Virtual Assistance LLC, I, Robin Carter, work directly with you. If you need a service for which I do not have the expertise in, I collaborate with a network of Expert VAs whom I can outsource to and get your project completed. I will only commit to projects that can be delivered based on current workload, availability and the level of expertise of myself, key business partners, and team members.

What do Virtual Assistants specialize in?

Virtual Assistants can take most administrative and marketing tasks off your plate. I specialize in writing great content for business professionals to:

  • generate traffic to their websites through blogging and posting content to social media platforms
  • engage in and create relationships
  • sell more of their products and/or services

What services do you offer?

We offer online marketing services such as creating and editing blog content and posting content to social media to generate traffic to my clients’ websites. We manage WordPress sites, research, and create and distribute e-newsletters. Visit our services page to see what we can take off your plate. How do I get my work to you?

Your projects may be given to us over the phone or sent via email, USPS, or courier. During our initial consultation, we will discuss general project details and how you prefer to communicate with us.

What is the best way to communicate with you?

Communicating with us is fast and easy (and even a little fun). Whichever form of communication works best for you, works best for us. You may reach us via email, instant message, USPS, Skype or by calling or texting Rockin’ Robin’s mobile phone.

What is your turnaround time for responding to my emails?

Ideally, all emails are answered within 24 hours of being received.

How will I receive my completed work?

We utilize email, Dropbox, USPS … again, whatever works best for you.

How much does it cost to work with Rockin’ Robin Virtual Assistance, LLC?

How is the time that is spent on my projects tracked?

Software allows us to clock in and out on every assignment. You are billed only for the time spent working on your business projects.  The clock stops for any breaks or interruptions. At the end of every billing cycle, we provide you with an invoice which details how time on your project has been spent.

When and how often do you invoice?

Invoices are emailed via Freshbooks on the first of each month for the prior month’s services.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Credit cards are accepted through a WePay link on invoices. Checks or money orders are gladly accepted.

What are your payment policies?

Charges are due immediately and are past due within 14 days of the original invoice date. A late payment reminder will be sent and a charge of 1.5% interest will be added after 14 days. Work for the next month will not begin until work for the prior month’s services has been paid in full.

What if I no longer need your services?

A 14-day written notice is all that is required.

Do you ensure confidentiality?

Unless compelled to testify in a court of law, none of your personal or business information will be disclosed to third parties without your written consent. We will be happy to sign a confidentiality agreement if this of importance to you.
